Overview
The emWave® Pro Plus includes everything in emWave® Pro — real-time cardiac coherence and HRV biofeedback — plus two built-in heart rate variability (HRV) assessments that give health professionals a fast, standardized way to evaluate a client's autonomic nervous system function.
It records the pulse via a sensor, analyzes the heart wave, and displays the results across multiple real-time screens — enabling you to visualize states of coherence and non-coherence, explain HRV to your clients, and track their progress over time.
The software supports an unlimited number of client/patient files and can be installed on multiple computers. It is one of the only cardiac coherence programs that runs natively on both Mac OS and Windows.
The system also integrates with HeartCloud™, an online platform that syncs all session data, tracks activity and history, and lets users earn rewards and share progress
HRV Assessments
1-Minute HRV Deep Breathing Assessment
A one-minute guided breathing exercise, paced by an on-screen visual cue, pushes the autonomic nervous system to reveal how much parasympathetic (vagal) HRV a client is able to produce. The software scores the session against age-matched norms and lets you generate a printable report on the spot. Because this short protocol tracks closely with the traditional 24-hour ambulatory HRV recording, it offers a practical shortcut to gauge someone's overall HRV capacity without the logistics of a full-day test.
HRV Assessment
This second assessment runs over any duration you choose, from two minutes up to ninety-nine, and returns the standard set of HRV metrics clinicians and researchers rely on.
Main screens
Real-time visualization of pulse waves captured by the ear clip or finger sensor.
Plots the HRV curve, enabling you to detect and quantify heart coherence.
Tracks the quality of heart coherence in real time — a direct interpretation of the HRV curve.
Shows the percentage of session time spent in each state: low coherence (red), intermediate (blue), and full coherence (green).
Reveals the balance between the sympathetic (stress) and parasympathetic (relaxation) nervous systems.
Seven interactive games and visualizers — including Emotion Visualizer®, Coherence Coach®, and My Inspiration — make sessions more engaging, especially with younger clients.
All sessions are saved and displayed chronologically per client profile, providing a clear record of progress over time.
